Vision
A united Fort Worth where parents, educators, clergy and business leaders stand together to protect our local voice in public education, ensuring all children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in schools governed by and for our community.
Mission
FORT will bring together parents, educators, and community members interested in protecting and advocating for a locally provided, responsive, and accessible education for all students in Fort Worth ISD. We will remain engaged and informed about the changes brought to our district by the Texas Education Agency's appointed leadership, and hold the Superintendent and Board of Managers accountable to transparent communication about their progress. We will support and advocate for the following:
Improve Student Outcomes
Community based solutions, starting with literacy.
We will advocate for reading proficiency at grade level for every child in FWISD.
Build Community and Shared Power
Every FWISD family and staff member feels supported and heard. We will advocate for equity and transparency while elevating voices typically left out.
Restore Local Control
We advocate for clearly defined exit criteria with SMART goals.
Returning Fort Worth ISD back to local elected governance
by the end of the 2027-2028 school year.
