- Participate in community meetings. We have a TownHall on Sept 18th at 6pm at Greater St. Stephens First Church. We will be attending all FWISD School Board meetings as well. The first is on Sept 23rd at 530pm.
- Help us spread the message via social media and with a postcard campaign.
- Phone calls and emails to elected officials like Mike Morath, Mattie Parker, Charlie Geren and Greg Abbot, as well as all City Council and local State Board of Education members.

Sample Letter to send to City Council and Mayor Parker
Dear City Council Representative, I am writing to you today to express my strong opposition to a potential TEA takeover of Fort Worth ISD. I urge you to publicly oppose this action and to share your position with Governor Greg Abbott, and TEA Commissioner Mike Morath. FWISD is already improving. The district has successfully decreased the number of schools with an "F" rating from 31 to 11. In addition, the district has collaborated with Texas Wesleyan University to improve struggling schools through the Leadership Academy Network. The district's progress under local leadership and Dr. Karen Molinar is evident in improving TEA ratings across the board. The district already has an aggressive plan of action for continued improvements in student outcomes. A state takeover would be detrimental to Fort Worth. We would likely see a massive drop in enrollment and see a huge turnover of veteran teachers. It would remove local control and silence the voices of parents, educators, and community leaders. State-appointed managers are not accountable to local families. Furthermore, a takeover would likely cause political tension and public unrest, potentially harming Fort Worth's ability to attract new businesses. Our community, including parents, teachers, business leaders, and clergy, is united in the belief that Fort Worth's children need stability, not disruption. Fort Worth ISD is already headed in the right direction, and a takeover would set back the progress that has been made. We believe that a democratically elected board is best equipped to understand and serve our neighborhoods. I ask that you stand with our community to keep our school district under local control and publicly oppose the takeover.
